What’s Trending as India goes to the polls?

In this special edition of Trending on the BBC World Service, Mukul Devichand and his guests will be live in Bangalore – India’s tech capital – with the stories shaping the election race online.

We will also be on the campaign trail with Infosys billionaire and political hopeful Nandan Nilekani, hanging out with Narendra Modi’s chai-wallahs and looking at each of the main players’ attempts to manipulate social media (and the potential for them to be stung by it). We will explain the latest trends in front of a live audience.
