World Book Club airs September 7

The BBC World Service airs World Book Club with Pat Barker on Sunday, September 7 at 1206 EDT. The Arts Hour will be dropped to accommodate.

World Book Club is an unclocked 53 minutes. Stations in automation will need to change their automation.

Description: We mark the centenary commemorations for World War One by talking to multi-award winning British writer Pat Barker about her internationally renowned novel, Regeneration, the first in the trilogy which culminated in the Booker Prize winner The Ghost Road. Also shortlisted for the Booker Prize and now recognized twenty two years after its publication as a modern war classic, Regeneration is a part historical, part fictional exploration of how the traumas of war brutalized a generation of young men.
