BBC Topline changing to a files only program

Beginning Monday, January 19th, we will offer BBC Topline twice each morning and will expand the air window to 15 minutes. Over the coming months we will roll out additional BBC Topline update feed times.

BBC Topline will feed at 0830 ET, Monday through Friday, and will be updated for another 1030 ET airing, starting January 19th.  The air window for both will run from ::30:00 – ::45:00. The length of the program will continue to be 90 seconds.

BBC Topline is changing from a daily single feed program to a program that updates several times in the morning. To accommodate the updated content, BBC Topline will no longer be a live with subsequent file transfer program. Starting January 19th, it will be a “files only” program. This will allow for quicker routing to stations’ play to air system.

Stations airing or intending to air BBC Topline should subscribe to the new BBC Topline page in Content Depot by January 19th. The current BBC Topline II program will be available through January 26th to allow stations time to update their subscriptions during this transition. On January 26th, BBC Topline II will be cancelled and BBC Topline will be used for all updates of the program.

This change will accommodate all future feeds and no further subscriptions will be necessary.

If you have questions regarding managing your subscription or how to automate BBC Topline, please contact APM’s ICC at 651-290-1563 or via email at icc@americanpublicmedia.org.
