The 2016 Oscars Special from KPCC’s The Frame is available through February 28. This hour-long program features in-studio interviews with a variety of 2016 nominees, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Brie Larson, Alejandro Gonzalez Iñárritu, and Adam McKay.

Irish Inspirations takes a closer look at the way classical musicians and composers have incorporated Irish music into their performances and compositions. Host Andrea Blain has compiled beautiful – and sometimes unexpected – examples of classical music rooted in the traditional and folk music of the Emerald Isle.

The April Fools comprises some of the best classical comedy routines ever performed. From Spike Jones’ “The Blue Danube”, to PDQ Bach, to Anna Russell deconstructing the entire Ring Cycle in less than 20 minutes, it’s a joyful reminder that even classical musicians get to laugh at themselves. Lynne Warfel hosts some of the most beloved moments from the world’s great classical clowns.
