Updated APM Coverage of Prince’s Death

As the news regarding the death of pop music superstar Prince develops, Minnesota Public Radio (MPR) is offering continual, rolling coverage until 1600 (4:00 PM) ET on ContentDepot via the program page “Prince News“.  This coverage is available free of charge to all APM affiliate stations.  No contact closures will be provided during this coverage.  There will be a one-minute break from 59:00 to the top of each hour for stations to either breakaway or identify themselves.

MPR has multiple reporters on the ground at Prince’s Paisley Park studios, and APM is putting together a package of coverage and features for stations to use.

BBC World Service is providing the following additional coverage today:

1400 (2:00 PM) ET: The Newsroom

1430 (2:30 PM) ET: Half-hour World Have Your Say rapid response special on tributes/reaction to Prince’s death.

1500 (3:00 PM) ET: Newshour: Will be leading with Prince with additional material through the hour.

1600 (4:00 PM) ET: Newshour: Updated as above.

In addition to the MPR News feed, The Current is offering a continual stream of Prince’s music A – Z via the “Prince Special from ‘The Current’” on ContentDepot through 2300 (11:00 PM) ET today.  No breaks or contact closures will be provided on The Current’s feed.
