Program Update: BBC World Service Olympic coverage

BBC World Service coverage of the Olympics in Rio includes “Today in Rio,” airing August 6-22 at 9:00pm ET. This program will replace Outlook and The Fifth Floor on the schedule. Broadcast details follow.

A one-hour daily catch up on all the latest news, talking points, and the winners and the losers of the Olympics. Join Ben James and guests around Rio as they bring you the atmosphere from the city and conversation with fans, residents, officials and athletes.

Airing: Daily at 9:00pm ET on Saturday, August 6 – Monday, August 22.
Duration: 49 minutes 30 seconds (23 minutes & 26 minutes 30 seconds) or 59 minutes including the News Bulletins, billboards & promos.
Broadcast window: daily from 9:00pm ET – 1:30am ET (4.5 hours).
