New Host, New Offerings for APHC

Tickets for the first three live broadcasts of the new season are on sale now and we can’t wait for Chris Thile to get started! We are confident that Chris will attract new, younger, more diverse audiences to the show and retain its loyal, longtime fans.

It’s going to be an exciting year, and we’re creating a variety of new offerings for you to engage with your audience.

We’ll start with a special letter from Chris. Read the letter and get to know Chris a little better. Better yet, share the letter with your listeners – it will be easily and equally appreciated by loyal APHC fans and those who may be new to this radio favorite. Chris doesn’t mention it, but longtime fans know that Chris grew up on A Prairie Home Companion as more than just a listener – how he first appeared on the APHC stage at age 15, and how he has performed on it more than 20 times over the past 20 years.

We’re also pleased to share some new photos of our new host. Download three new Chris Thile headshots, and be sure to credit photographer Devin Pedde with every use (Photo: Devin Pedde).

Also new this week, Chris Thile promo spots. Download six new, generic promo spots from ContentDepot; this is a direct link to the new episode page under ‘A Prairie Home Companion ON-AIR PROMOS’.

Chris will continue to record new promo spots over the coming months, which we’ll share with you as soon as they’re available. Please continue to use our online form to request custom promos.

You’ll also hear a wrap by Chris at the beginning of weekly (re)broadcasts starting this weekend.

You’ve probably noticed our new show logo. It, like all other program logos, will continue to be customized to meet your specific needs. Request a new logo using our online form.

This is just the beginning. We’ll follow up soon with new digital ads and much more! We welcome your questions and feedback.
