BBC Proms Programming Starts 7/24

APM is thrilled to showcase the most memorable performances of the 2017 BBC Proms, the UK’s annual celebration of classical music. Share up to 10 weeks of incredible programs with your audience:

All stations:
SymphonyCast will broadcast 10 concerts, in their entirety with the exception of the last night of Proms, which will be cut for time. All concerts will follow the standard SymphonyCast clock (1:59).

Hosted by Alison Young, these 10 programs are available to all APM affiliate stations, free of charge via ContentDepot. These are regular weekly feeds, open for all Proms concerts.

View our detailed list of broadcasts, starting next Monday, July 24, through Monday, September 25.

BBC stations:
BBC World Service will broadcast 7 highlight programs of Proms concerts, from next Saturday, July 29 through Friday, September 15. This year’s highlights include Handel’s Water Music, Bernstein’s On the Waterfront, a centenary tribute to Ella Fitzgerald and Dizzy Gillespie, and more.

Each hour-long episode will be hosted by a BBC Radio 3 classical music presenter, and feature conversations with special guests on the themes, composers and performers, along with the context in which the music was written and performed. These highlight programs make great complements to the full concerts from SymphonyCast.

Details and downloads for all 7 programs are available on the Partners Site.
