Newshour coverage of Karadzic verdict

Today’s 0800/0900 ET Newshour editions will include updates on Brussels, but also focus on the expected verdict in the Karadzic trial.

In a case seen as being one of the most important war crimes trials since World War Two, UN judges at The Hague will today deliver their verdict in the case of former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic after a trial that has lasted eight years. He faces multiple counts of genocide and crimes against humanity which he denies. At least 100,000 people died during fighting in the four year conflict following the collapse of the Yugoslavia.

Newshour will have coverage of the verdict and hears from those who witnessed the conflict.

The program will observe the regular Newshour clock.
