Marketplace Offers”Politics Inside Out” Convention Modules

Marketplace is offering special modules that look at politics from the inside out – with real people’s questions inside the conventions and take a look at political developments outside the conventions.

Who does the economy work for? What’s the real currency of government? Who are the winners and losers in today’s global economy? How are people’s lives and livelihoods affected by their access to political power? These are the questions that Americans are asking this election season, and Marketplace is positioned to tackle them for your listeners.

These new modules can enhance your political coverage or kick off a conversation on your local show. They are available to all stations carrying a Marketplace program: Marketplace, Marketplace Morning Report, Marketplace Weekend and/or Marketplace Tech.

Register to receive two plug-and-play versions of the module each weekday: a 3.5-minute module and a condensed 60-second module. Both elements have optional connecting copy for local hosts to read.

The first module will be offered through this Friday, July 21; the next module is available next Monday, July 25 through Friday, July 28. Modules are uploaded at 4 a.m. ET each weekday, will hold for 24 hours, and can be aired anytime.

Find Politics Inside Out in Content Depot/Exchange/Marketplace. You’ll receive alerts each time a module is uploaded, with host copy for both modules included in the note fields of ContentDepot files.

Contact your Station Representative if you’d like to schedule an interview with a Marketplace reporter during the conventions – the perfect complement to your local coverage.
