UPDATED: BBC Royal Wedding Coverage This Saturday

This Saturday, May 19, is the wedding day of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and the BBC World Service will offer special coverage throughout the day, including live commentary, presenters and reporters in Windsor, and  reaction from around the world as they share the celebrations at Windsor Castle.

Programming will be provided throughout the day from 00:00 ET:

00:06 – 00:29 ET– The Newsroom (This will now be the usual half an hour only, not an extended 1 hour edition as previously advertised)

01:06 – 03:59 ET – Weekend: Live from Windsor

Weekend comes live from Windsor on the day of Britain’s Royal Wedding when Prince Harry marries the American actress Meghan Markle.

We bring you the details of the day’s events, hear from guests who have been invited to attend the ceremony, discuss the role of the Royal family and its members in British society and get reaction from around the world. This programme follows the BBC program clock.

Hosted live from Windsor by Nuala McGovern located outside Windsor Castle, with Jamie Coomersamy overlooking the castle, and Chloe Tilly reporting from Windsor Long Walk. This programme includes coverage from the Royal Wedding 07:00 – 08:00 ET, and the Wedding Parade 08:00-08:59 ET.

The BBC clock will be dropped from 0659’30 – 08:59 ET – there will be no news bulletins available. If key events have finished then news bulletins and summaries may be reinstated towards the end of the program.
