COVID-19: Hard Questions, Real Answers

MPR News Host Kerri Miller returns with a live call-in special on COVID-19. The special will occur over two days at 2 p.m. ET. Audiences across the nation are invited to call in and ask medical and public health professionals their hard questions. Listener calls will be taken as live only, not pre-recorded. The call-in number will be: 800-242-2828.

Each of the stand-alone midday call-in shows will shine a spotlight on the COVID-19 crisis:

  • Wednesday, March 18: Kerri is joined by guests from the Mayo Clinic to talk about the science of treating COVID-19 – the challenges medical professionals are facing, what they know about the spread, and their plans for stopping it.
  • Thursday, March 19: We will be partnering with station WABE in Atlanta, GA (home of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) for the second hour of the special, centered around public health.

Saturday, March 21, 2-3 p.m. ET: The Evidence: Coronavirus

  • As the rapid global spread of the coronavirus continues, for this episode of The Evidence, we gather together a panel of world leading experts, including Dr Jeremy Farrar, Director of Wellcome to understand what we have learnt so far about this novel virus and what more needs to be done. As audience members ask their questions, we discuss the latest research on the coronavirus, testing, treatment and vaccine development.
