Topline 7, 8 (Midday) Ending

Sunset Announcement

On April 12, 2024, APM and the BBC will end production of the two midday BBC Topline feeds at 12:18 and 1:18 pm ET. This decision was made in response to changing audience behaviours and to allow us to focus on those programs serving the greatest number of listeners. BBC Topline weekday morning feeds: 6:18, 7:18, 8:18, 9:18, 10:18, 11:18 AM ET will continue.

Our commitment to the live news output is as strong as ever and we know you rely on the BBC World Service for a true breadth of programming with ambition to explore, explain and reflect stories from all over the world. First-class news reporting and analysis, a rich slate of documentaries and much-admired business, science, arts, human-interest, sport and debate titles all remain at the heart of the BBC portfolio. Recent investments have allowed us to launch new products such as the hugely successful Happy News, Tech Life, Unexpected Elements and what in the world, and develop new podcast series such as World of Secrets and Amazing Sport Stories.

The BBC values their partnership with US public radio stations. We continue to explore new opportunities to expand our current programming so your audiences can rely on you for the best in news and culture.
