 Mindy Ratner hosts this powerful, 2017 encore special, with first-person stories by survivors, and works by composers affected by the Holocaust. The program offers thoughtful reflections for International Holocaust Memorial Day (Jan. 27) and Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day, May 1-2).

Order 9066: Japanese American Incarceration in WWII
Three one-hour episodes. Available January 28-March 31, 2019

Order 9066 chronicles the history of World War II incarceration with first-person accounts of those who lived through it. Hosted by Sab Shimono and Pat Suzuki, veteran actors who were both incarcerated at the Amache camp in Colorado, this three-episode series offers a moving tribute for Japanese American Remembrance Day (Feb. 19).

Love is on the Air: A TBTL Valentine’s Day Special

The BBC World Service presents a new special edition of its Witness program, with incredible, first-person interviews about the African-American experience. The world-renowned Tabernacle Choir presents rich arrangements of familiar carols, and lesser-known melodies that are fast becoming the new classics. Julie Amacher hosts this annual favorite.

Enjoy a holiday blend of silver bells and silver screens! Saturday Cinema host Lynne Warfel presents a unique musical retrospective of some of Hollywood’s most cherished Christmas-themed movies.

Welcome Christmas!

 New for 2018, this perennial Christmas favorite features VocalEssence, one of the world’s premier choral ensembles. John Birge hosts an hour of traditional carols and new discoveries, including the world premiere of two carols from the annual Christmas Carol Contest.

A Chanticleer Christmas
One hour. Available December 13-31, 2018.

Brian Newhouse presents unforgettable choral music and commentary, with performances by Chanticleer, the 12-man “orchestra of voices.” Audiences will be captivated by this year’s live concert of holiday classics and new favorites.

St. Olaf Christmas Festival
Two hours. Available December 13-31, 2018.

 Host Valerie Kahler shares the sights and sounds of one of the nation’s most cherished holiday celebrations. The festival includes hymns, carols, choral works, and orchestral selections celebrating the Nativity, and features more than 500 student musicians in five choirs, and the St. Olaf Orchestra.

A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols
90-minute and two-hour versions. Available December 24-25, 2018.

Michael Barone hosts this live service of spoken word and music (choral and organ) broadcast from the chapel of King’s College in Cambridge, England. The 30-voice King’s College Choir performs the legendary Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols service of Biblical readings and music.

2018 BBC Proms Programming

APM is thrilled to showcase the most memorable performances of the 2018 BBC Proms, the UK’s annual celebration of classical music from London’s Royal Albert Hall.

Available to all stations:
SymphonyCast will broadcast 10 concerts, in their entirety, excluding the last night of Proms, which will be cut for time. All concerts will follow the standard SymphonyCast clock (1:59).

Hosted by Alison Young, these 10 programs are available to all APM affiliate stations, free of charge via ContentDepot. These are regular weekly feeds, and open for all Proms concerts. Promo spots will be also available via ContentDepot.

BBC World Service will broadcast 7 highlight programs of Proms concerts, from Saturday, July 28 through Friday, September 14. Each hour-long episode will be hosted by a BBC Radio 3 classical music presenter. These highlight programs make great complements to the full concerts from SymphonyCast.

BBC Proms Programming Starts 7/24
