Marketplace hires Molly Wood

I’m so pleased to introduce you to the newest member of the Marketplace team. Molly Wood, most recently the deputy technology editor at the New York Times, is starting next month as our backup host for all Marketplace programs.

Molly brings with her boundless interesting ideas, a distinctive and engaging on-air presence, and an appreciation for public media – not to mention her many fans (including 97,000 Twitter followers).

Wood’s experience covering personal technology spans all media – print, online and broadcast. A frequent contributor to Marketplace Tech and other national media outlets, Wood also launched the CNET podcast Buzz Out Loud, which was one of the early successes in tech podcasts. She also created and executive produced “Always On with Molly Wood” at CNET.

Molly is as excited to be part of Marketplace as we are to have her on board. Please join me in welcoming Molly to public radio.
