89.3 The Current (KCMP-FM, Saint Paul, MN) is inviting radio stations across the country to honor Prince on Wednesday, May 4, 2016, with a simulcast of his hit song, “Nothing Compares 2 U.”
The song will be broadcast on stations from coast-to-coast at 5:07 p.m. CT, (6:07 p.m. ET) which marks “7 hours and 13 days”— a lyric from the song — since the musical icon’s passing.
Mary Lucia, DJ on The Current, provides an introduction to the song, and then concludes this tribute with a brief thank you to all stations.
