Live Debate Coverage from BBC World Service

This Sunday, October 9, Newsday will continue its live presidential debate coverage from Washington University in St. Louis. This program follows the standard BBC World Service program clock.

Visit the BBC Partners site for additional details.

This second presidential debate takes the form of a town hall meeting, in which half of the questions are posed directly by citizen participants and the other half by the moderator, based on topics of broad public interest as reflected in social media and other sources. The candidates have two minutes to respond and there is an additional minute for the moderator to facilitate further discussion. The town meeting participants are uncommitted voters selected by the Gallup Organization.

Newsday will also offer live coverage of third debate, on October 19 in Las Vegas.
