Radio Exclusive: Kai Ryssdal interviews IMF’s Christine Lagarde

Monday, June 16th,  Christine Lagarde, managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), sits down with Kai Ryssdal for a new interview. In the radio broadcast exclusive, Lagarde will  be talking to Ryssdal about a wide range of economic topics, including this morning’s release of the IMF’s annual review of the U.S. economy. Lagarde discusses her faith in the American people and the U.S. economic system, her relationship with Fed Chair Janet Yellen and the need for ongoing communication from the Fed. She also shares why the IMF is advocating raising the U.S. minimum wage and how the U.S. is continuing to recover from the financial crisis.
