Reminder: BBC Interim Schedule effective October 25 – October 31

BBC World Service has issued the 2015 October interim schedule  and winter schedule. The October interim schedule is effective October 25 – October 31 in the US. This is the time period between the UK’s Daylight Saving Time (Oct 25) and the US shift (Nov 1). The winter schedule is effective November 1, 2015 – March 26, 2016.

Interim schedule notes:
Please note that on Sunday, October 26, the 4:00pm ET broadcast will be The History Hour, not Newshour. This is the only day a Newshour broadcast time is affected. All other Newshour broadcast times/slots remain the same as currently scheduled. Additional program adjustments include:

  • For the interim week, World Have Your Say moves from 10:00am ET to Noon ET. Then for the winter schedule it will air at 11:00am ET. BBC has been evaluating the best broadcast time for WHYS to serve the broadest global audience.
  • Outlook moves from 7:00am ET to 10:00am ET for the interim schedule, then back to 7:00am ET for the winter schedule.
  • For the interim week, The Newsroom will air at 2pm ET, 6pm ET and 8pm ET. Then in the winter schedule, it will air at 1pm ET, 2pm ET, 5pm ET, and 7pm ET.
  • Outside Source at 6:00am ET will be a half-hour program instead of a full hour program for the interim week. It will be back as a full hour program in the winter schedule.

Please examine the schedules carefully for changes specific to your programming; links to PDFs of the schedules have been provided below. Check with your operations staff to be certain you are subscribed to the proper hours to ensure uninterrupted carriage.
