World Have Your Say Live from Louisville today (12pm ET)

Today’s WHYS (Thursday, June 9; 12:00 ET) will be live from Louisville to cover the first day of Muhammad Ali’s funeral ceremonies.

Program Description:

There will be a Muslim funeral prayer service (jenazah) today for Muhammad Ali at Freedom Hall, Louisville, the site of his last hometown fight. It will mark the start of two days of funeral ceremonies in the town, culminating in Friday’s procession and service.  Today’s prayer service is being described as the most widely covered Muslim funeral in America’s history.  It may well prove to be the most watched Muslim funeral ever.

The service is today at 12:00 ET and will be covered live with Chloe Tilley in London and Nuala McGovern in Louisville.

We’ll hear the prayers and eulogies live, and hear from mourners in Louisville. We’ll also talk about the event and Ali’s relationship with Islam with two guests – Sufi Imam Zimmer Salihi, and boxing writer Gavin Evans.
