New BBC Summer Schedule, Programs

The US and UK will be on daylight saving time beginning Sunday, March 26. The Summer Schedule will begin March 26 and includes new live news programming to expand its original journalism, and provide even stronger coverage of breaking news stories and events as they happen.

This new Summer Schedule (effective March 26 – October 28), and the current Interim Schedule (effective March 12-25), can be found on our website. Please review them carefully and contact your Station Representative with any questions.

Summer Schedule highlights, including new programming:

  • Newshour: There are no changes.
  • The Newsroom: Editions airing at 6am ET seven days a week, 8am ET five days a week, 2pm ET six days a week, and 6pm ET seven days a week.
  • Outlook: The first edition stays at the 7am ET slot, with repeats moving to 1pm ET.
  • BBC OS: A brand new live news program, combining Outside Source and World Have Your Say, airing at 11am and 12pm ET (description below)
  • In the Studio: A new half-hour arts program (description below).

BBC OS:
LIVE broadcast, airing at 11am and 12pm ET. Each program will run on its own clocked hour.

Presented by Nuala McGovern, BBC OS is a vibrant account of what is happening around the world as it unfolds, with explanation and reaction exploring exactly what’s happened and why, and asks the audience – what more do you want to know? Read more.

IN THE STUDIO:
Broadcasts Sundays at 4:30am ET and Tuesdays at 12:30 am and 5:30pm ET.
