Given differences in Daylight Saving Time schedules, the BBC World Service will be on a one-week interim schedule prior to the winter schedule.
The 2018 interim winter schedule is effective this Sunday, October 28 through Sunday, November 4, 2018.
Interim schedule highlights:
- Weekend editions of Newshour will shift one hour. Saturday and Sunday editions will air at 9 a.m. ET and 5 p.m. ET. This change occurs on Sunday, October 28, Saturday, November 3 and Sunday, November 4.
- Weekday editions of Newshour remain the same, with an extra edition at 5 p.m. ET.
- BBC OS will air weekdays at 12 p.m. at 1 p.m. ET.
The 2019 winter schedule is effective Monday, November 5, 2018 through Saturday, March 9, 2019.
Winter schedule highlights:
- Newshour, Newsday, BBC OS remain consistent with previous schedules.
- The Newsroom shifts from 6 p.m. ET to 5 p.m. ET, as it has in previous winter schedules.
- Business Matters will be live only and unavailable for download.
- The Thought Show will cease production on October 25.
- NEW: The Story
- The Story will present the world’s stories in each weekly episode, with in-depth, global reporting about issues that affect us all.
- Airs Saturdays at 9:32-9:50 p.m. ET, with a repeat on Sundays from 11:32-11:50 a.m. ET.
