carnegie_header

Dear Stations:

How time flies when you’re listening to great radio. Before the amazing second season of Carnegie Hall Live zips by and closes, bring your listeners these two beautiful concerts. Glorious chamber music performed by an ensemble of fiery young artists, and a soaring symphony in the grandest of traditions.

April 2, 2013, 8:00 p.m. ET (2:59:00)

Jonathan Biss; Elias String Quartet
“What I feel for Schumann goes beyond love and admiration,” says the remarkable young American pianist Jonathan Biss. “The intensity of Schumann’s passion for music strikes me as the highest aim imaginable for a musician.” On this program, Biss joins members of the fabulous young British ensemble, the Elias String Quartet, for Schumann’s popular Piano Quartet, as well as the lyrical E-flat Piano Quartet by Mozart.

April 19, 2013, 8:00 p.m. ET (1:59:00)

Staatskapelle Dresden
The Staatskapelle Dresden and conductor Christian Thielemann make a rare appearance on America’s most famous stage. Bring the excitement to your listeners live as one of the world’s greatest orchestras performs Anton Bruckner’s gorgeous masterwork, the Symphony No. 8.

Jeff Spurgeon and Fred Child co-host both programs. While it’s always best to bring your listeners the sizzle of the live event, we’ve obtained the rights for you to delay each of these broadcasts by 7 days. Check out the Carnegie Hall Live homepage on APMStations the day before each concert. We’ve got an embeddable chat feature which allows your listeners to interact during the performance.
