‘The Response – America’s Story’: Submissions open, broadcast window extended

“What do you want to tell President-Elect Trump about who you are and the life you lead?”

Our new co-production with BBC World Service, The Response – America’s Story, will share personal responses to this question with the global community.

Join us in asking listeners to share their personal stories and perspectives. Broadcast the first of four unique programs starting January 14; air window extended through January 28.

We’re seeking unique stories about the lives people lead, and their hopes and expectations for the next four years.

The Response – America’s Story is a four-part radio series, with unique one-hour programs distributed in the U.S. by APM. Four half-hour editions will also be broadcast on BBC World Service.

The themes of the four programs will be forward-looking, and framed by the new presidency.

The Opportunity
Engage your community and broadcast unique personal stories and perspectives during the first 100 days of the new administration.

Encourage listeners to share their personal stories and perspectives. To help you, we’ve created the following promotional tools:

  • Promo spots
  • Digital assets

    • Tile image for website and newsletter promotion

 How to Participate
Listeners can record a two-minute (or less) response to the first question using the voice recorder on their smartphones, and email it to the BBC. Their stories will be blended with others to create an intimate, first-person audio collection. Learn more.

The Response – America’s Story premieres January 14, with three additional monthly programs through April. Each will be broadcast from a different U.S. location, the first from partner station West Virginia Public Broadcasting.
